The Vancouver Board of Trade today mourns the passing of Dr. Don Rix, CM, OBC, immediate past chairman 2008-09 and founder of The Rix Center for Corporate Citizenship & Engaged Leadership.

“Dr. Rix was a community hero. From his early time as a general practitioner, right through to his final days he embraced and lived the spirit of community citizenship,” said chair Sue Paish, QC. ”He was an example for us all of leadership, understanding, compassion and friendship. We lost a exceptional man today. It is now our opportunity and responsibility to carry forward Don’s legacies and continue to build this city and province on the foundation of care, generosity and compassion that he provided.” Read more…

The Rix Center For Corporate Citizenship & Engaged Leadership, established by The Vancouver Board of Trade and Dr. Don Rix, CM, OBC in December 2008, has an overarching goal to “bump the lamp” on corporate citizenship and engaged leadership.
