Muzyka is dean and RBC Financial Group Professor of Entrepreneurship at the Sauder School of Business at UBC and a governor of The Vancouver Board of Trade. In order for businesses to better adapt to the dynamic global environment, he believes they need to work together with social, educational and environmental agencies, through involvement in these issues. A strong link between businesses and communities results in more employee engagement and community support. The Rix Center uses Muzyka’s philanthropic concepts behind remaining competitive during difficult economic times, by encouraging community involvement in organizations in order to increase employee engagement, therefore adding value to the community.
