Philosopher and management author Charles Handy believes that the power of organizations should be in the hands of the community. Handy’s community-based model for organization seeks to meet society’s demands for ethical and sustainable practices, by following a more personal and flexible organizational style. The Rix Center hopes to instill Handy’s community-based values by promoting social institutions that have a purpose.
